Electric Pet Fence FAQs

This electric pet fence faqs page will answer every dog owner's curiosity and worries in using electric pet fence systems.
1. Why should I buy electric pet fence systems?

Because having an electric pet fence provides a cost-effective way of containing your pet. This kind of fence also allows you to train your dog some basic obedience skills. Best of all, getting an electric containment will not cost you thousands of dollars unlike constructing a wooden or metal chain fence.

2. What is an In-ground pet electric fence?

Basically, there are three (3) parts in an In-ground pet electric fence. These are the Transmitter, Wire, and the Collar Receiver. The Transmitter is plugged into a standard outlet and sends out a radio signal to the wire that is being buried and connected to the transmitter that makes a boundary to contain your dog. The collar receiver is worn on your dog’s collar. While the transmitter emits a radio signal that travels through the wire, the receiver on your dog’s collar picks up the radio signal. It will then alert the dog as he get near the boundary (buried wire). If he still persists to go towards the boundary wire, he will receive a correction from the radio signal.

3. Can I contain more than one dog?

Yes, you can contain more than one dog at the same time with our electric pet fence. You will just need extra collars for your other pets. Here in our online shop, additional collars are sold separately. And please check the system requirements of your electric fence when buying an extra receiver collar.

4. Is there other way that I can contain my dog without burying the wire?

Yes. If you don’t want to bury the wires, you can secure them above the ground using our offered Securing Staples. For more information regarding this method, please check out our Above Ground Installation page.

5. Are indoor zone fence systems only to be used inside my home?

Generally, our featured indoor zone electric pet fence systems are being used inside the house because they don’t use wires to create the boundary. However these indoor containment fences can also be used outdoors as long as there’s an available power supply and you know that the range they operate meets your needs.
